A wet and windy start to September didn’t dampen any ones spirit, when the idea of a beach clean was suggested. The forecast stated that at 14.00 it was going to be dry and sunny and someone was definitely looking after us, as the clock struck 14.00 out the sun came.
Divers plus their extended families and pets of course, split into a few groups to cover more of Freshwater west beach.
One of our members had a bright idea (what really happened was he found an enormous industrial lightbulb).
Another deserves an award plus oxygen thinking he was Hercules with the amount of plastic packaging straps he dragged single handed across the sand until he could tow it back to the carpark with his vehicle. Think he needed the sealed jar of coffee that was found after that.
It never ceases to surprise us the things that are discarded on the beach.
Never mind it keeps us busy on those no dive days.
Well only one thing for it a debrief at the pub rounds it off nicely.
